Wounded Warrior ProjectA silent auction to benefit Fisher House at Tripler Army Medical will be held on site. Fisher House has been compared to a Ronald McDonald House for military families. It is a place for families to stay while visiting their hospitalized son, daughter, husband, or wife. There is no cost to the family to stay, only the volunteer spirit to maintain the space for all families who will use it and the Spirit of Aloha.

Big Island Film Festival Executive Director, Leo Sears, is a twice wounded Marine from the Vietnam era and understands first hand the benefit of support.

You are invited to participate in our Silent Auction for the Fisher House by donating an item or gift certificate from your business, favorite shop or restaurant. Please call the Big Island Film Festival office prior to May 20 to offer your donation and make arrangements to join others in supporting this worthy charity. BIFF office: 808 883-0394. Direct Donations are also possible.

The Silent Auction is held annually on the final day of the festival immediately prior to the Best of the Fest. This year it will be held on Monday, May 25, 2015.

Only Best of Fest Ticket Holders or Pass Holders may participate in Silent Auction. Movie only Ticket Holders will be admitted after Silent Auction is over.
